Buying from a store you haven't used before takes a small leap of faith. Here's exactly what happens to your details when you order from Cloverfen, so you can decide with the facts.
Your payment details
Checkout runs on Shopify's payment infrastructure. Your card number is encrypted in your browser and sent straight to the payment processor.
We never see your full card number, and it is never stored on our systems. What we see against an order is the last four digits and the card type, the same thing you'd see on a receipt.
Our checkout is PCI DSS compliant, the security standard the card networks require of anyone handling card payments.
Your connection
Every page on this site is served over HTTPS with TLS encryption. Your browser will show a padlock in the address bar. That means what passes between you and this site can't be read in transit, on your home network, on café wifi, anywhere.
Your personal information
We collect what an order actually needs: name, delivery address, email, and phone number where a courier requires one.
We use it to process your order, ship it, and contact you about it. We don't sell your personal information. It's shared only with the fulfilment and delivery partners who need it to get the parcel to your door.
Full detail is in our privacy policy.
How we'll contact you, and how we won't
Worth knowing, because impersonation scams are common in online retail:
- We will never email or message you asking for your full card number, CVV, or your password.
- We will never ask you to pay for an order by bank transfer, gift card, or cryptocurrency.
- We will never ask you to pay a surprise fee after checkout to release a parcel.
If you get a message claiming to be from Cloverfen that does any of those things, it isn't from us. Don't reply to it, tell us through the contact form and delete it.
Your account
You don't need an account to order. If you make one, use a password you don't use elsewhere, because most account compromises come from a password reused from another site that was breached.
If something looks wrong
Spotted a charge you don't recognise, or something on the site that doesn't look right? Get in touch and we'll investigate. If you believe your card has been compromised, contact your bank first, because they can freeze it immediately, which matters more than anything we can do.
